Winning the Arnold Classic.
We here at Pose Down believe Branch will finally get his just dues.

Iris Kyle

Iris Kyle, coming off another Olympia win and headed to the Arnold.
My question is:
When Iris is on, is there any female bodybuilder capable of beating this woman?
Let's go back in time and look at the great female bodybuilders of the past:
• Rachel Mclish
• Cory Everson
• Carla Dunlap
• Bev Francis
• Lenda Murray
These women are just a few of the greatest women bodybuilders of our time.
Okay, lets weigh all of the facts such as nutrition, supplements, dieting, conditioning and training.
I will have to say YES to this question. This is not meant for any disrespect to any of the above athletes nor the
athletes who have been invited this year however my logic stems around Iris having the size, symmetry and she
comes in hard, dry and conditioned. When Iris is on she just dominates the stage.
I do have the great Lenda Murray coming in at a close second.
We look forward to Ms International this year!

Adela Garcia

Lets talk high energy, electrifying stage presence. Lets talk about Ms. Fitness Olympia
Adela Garcia, ( La Chica ) After tearing an ALC in 2008, Adela came roaring
back with a victory at the Ms Fitness 2009 Europa Super Show in Dallas Texas.
Then she set her sights on to Las Vegas. Adela was determined to regain her crown.
Adela hit the Olympia stage and took no prisoners. With all her hard work and dedication
Adela was crowned 2009 Ms. Olympia Fitness.
After speaking with Adela, her original plan was to do the Arnold 2009, however
with a set back arriving in Columbus she was not able to do so.
Now more determined and focused, Adela will be on the Arnold fitness stage in 2010.
Pose Down wants to congratulate Adela on an amazing come back and
we look forward to watching Adela and all the other fitness athletes at this years Arnold Classic.
Make no mistake these women are dynamic athletes with
conditioning and endurance second to none and superior performers.
We wish all competitors at this years Arnold the best of luck!!!!

Everyone knows the story of Kai Greene and his rise from poverty to one
of the best bodybuilders in the world. He was knocking on the door of stardom when he
showed up last year at the 2009 Arnold Classic and shocked the world with a huge,
completely shredded physique that displayed cross striations everywhere.
After years of struggling the time was finally his!
Now, after what some people call a “disappointing showing at the Olympia,
” Kai is gearing up to defend his title against, perhaps the toughest line up the
Arnold has ever seen! The question now is exactly how big will Kai be at the Arnold.
He has stated he was cautious going into the Olympia wanting to be
“more streamlined” and careful with his size. However, now Kai is going
back to what made him the champ last year and that’s a combination of size
and condition. What will he look like? No one knows, not even Kai but I can
promise people in their seats will be saying “DAMN” for one reason or another.

This years Figure International, which is held in conjunction with the Arnold Classic, will feature the worlds top females. With defending champ Ziville Raudoniene not competing in this years event the door is wide open for someone to take over reigns. Even though Ziville isn’t competing this is no walk in the park lineup. Some of the world’s youngest stars will be taking the stage.
Fresh off of her Olympia win Nicole Wilkins is looking to make it four in a row and take a firm hold on the Figure world! She won the Team Universe in 07, then the New York pro followed by this past years Olympia. The girl hasn’t lost in almost 3 years and is on a roll to say the least!
However, if Heather Mae French has anything to do with it, Nicole will need to step her game up just a hair. Heather placed a very close 3rd to Gina Aliotti at the Olympia. Heather also won the Houston Pro show and California Pro Show last year so she definitely knows how to pull out a victory.
Then we have a group of girls who are on the rise that have to be taken as a serious threat. Jessica Putnam placed 8th at the Olympia and is consistently improving. Kristi Tauti has to be in the conversation as a potential winner. She won the last show of the year in 09, The Sacramento Pro, so she will be feeling the momentum for sure. Posedown’s dark horse of the field is Erin Stern. The girl is right there knocking on the door of greatness. After an overall victory at Nationals in 08, Erin took no time off and competed 5 times in her rookie year with two 2nd a 5th and a 6th at the Olympia. We feel she will be the break out athlete of this show. Finally, you have, who I feel, was one of the main ladies to get the sport of Figure up and going, Monica Brant. She made a come back at the Arnold in 09 after an extended layoff and is looking on improving her 6th place finish from last year. You can count on one thing when it comes to Monica, she is a champion, and as we all know the heart of a champion can never be left for dead.
The Arnold has grown to epic proportions with in our industry and is no doubt the highlight of the early season if not the entire year. The world’s best ladies will descend upon Columbus, Ohio on March 5th!
Betty Pariso

Time stands still!!!
It seems when talking about this great athlete, time has stood still. Betty Pariso like the energizer bunny, just keeps going and going and going, but what most of us seem to forget is this incredible athlete is 50+. So what keeps driving this woman to compete at such a high level?
Its easy if you know Betty. She has the heart of a lion and the drive second to none with pure passion for the sport. This is something all great competitors are born with.
Betty is a wife, mother, grandmother and Pro Bodybuilder and if that is not enough
she and husband Ed Pariso are promoters of 3 Europa Super Shows. Yes the 3rd comes in 2010.
Betty will be competing in the Arnold Womens Bodybuilding this year and as always
she will be bring her "A" game. As great as she is as an athlete, she is an even better person!
So when Betty hits the stage in Columbus, lets make some noise and let her know just how much we appreciate all she gives to this sport. Hey we all wish we could be in that kind of shape at her young age. Thank you Betty for all you have given and done for this great sport of ours.
